Highly rated and well regarded Vizio XVT553SV has a problem sync'ing the HDMI signal from various sources. The problem manifests within either audio or video, and sometimes both. In every instance, the problem clears up on its own after short wait. In audio, there is an audible "cracking" or "popping", and occasionally the image will cut out. In video, horizontal interference covers the screen. In this video, the source is a PS3 connected directly to the Vizio XVT553SV via HDMI. However, the TV displays noise on from any HDMI source into any HDMI port. Swapping HDMI cables has no effect. I contacted Vizio support. The support tech dispatched a service technician who replaced the original "main board" in the TV with the latest generation. This swap appears to have fixed the problem. The replacement main board adds three months to the warranty. Bottom line -- If you experience this problem (or similar) consider contacting Vizio Support directly, regardless of the TV warranty status.
