I promise to post the resolution of this when Vizio brings it. This was shot at first power-on of the unit, at 5:15 AM, 3.28.2010 The sound @ the beginning was the dishwasher, which I shut down to show how this TV does not give sound in the first 2 minutes. We have had this problem for well over 2-3 months. Could this have to do with a software update make by Vizio about the same time? 47" LCD/LED HD purchased December 2010. RESOLUTION: My husband worked for DAYS with Vizio Customer Service and ATT Uverse Customer Service. Solution 4.4.11: on the ATT Uverse settings the audio setting was changed from SurroundSound to Stereo. The Vizio audio setting was unchanged. This solved the problem. So it is an ATT Uverse concern, not Vizio.
